Always try to see Jaws (1975) in a theater at least once every summer. Tonight’s the night, at the wonderful Graham Cinema in nearby Graham, North Carolina.
Of course, Jaws had one of the greatest ad campaigns ever. I especially like the rarely-used tagline “She was the first…”
Screening: Jaws (1975).

Toby, this brings back a lot of memories of the 1970’s. I remember the ad campaign that Summer of 1975. The JAWS(filmed 1974, released 1975) campaign set the standard for publicizing a potential blockbuster movie, which JAWS was by far. Some people were actually afraid to go into the water after seeing the movie. I remember being at Pensacola Beach, Florida in 1977 and the authorities didn’t hesitate in putting up the shark siting signs and closing the beach.
