Warner Archive has just announced Looney Tunes Collector’s Choice, Volume 1 on Blu-Ray, coming in May.

Warner Archive is promising that “included among these 20 shorts are classics that have never before been released on home video.” They also assure us they’ll be uncut. The set will contain:
Tale Of Two Mice (1945)
The Unruly Hare (1945)
Daffy Doodles (1946)
Doggone Cats (1947)
The Foxy Duckling (1947)
Catch As Cats Can (1947)
Little Orphan Airedale (1947)
Two Gophers From Texas (1947)
What’s Brewin’ Bruin? (1947)
The Bee-Deviled Bruin (1949)
A Fractured Leghorn (1950)
His Bitter Half (1950)
Stooge For A Mouse (1950)
Cracked Quack (1952)
A Mouse Divided (1953)
Plop Goes The Weasel (1953)
Beanstalk Bunny
(1954)
Greedy For Tweety (1957)
Hip-Hip-Hurry! (1958)
Hot Rod And Reel (1959)

And since it’s listed as “Volume 1,” that means that’s not all, folks! Highly, highly recommended.

DVD News #147: Porky Pig 101.

This is the way I’ve been hoping they’d get around to these wonderful Warner Bros. cartoons — big fat sets in chronological order. And it makes sense that they’d get the ball rolling with Porky Pig, the first of their big “stars.” There will be 101 shorts on five discs, all unedited. Man, I can’t wait.
